Policy regarding the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (F.E.R.P.A.)  
 

Students as well as parents of dependent students, have the right to review a student's educational records, to request amendment to student's educational records, to provide consent prior to disclosure of personally identifiable information, and to file a complaint with the U.S. Department of Education regarding the failure of this institution to comply with FERPA.

1. The request to review a student's educational record must be made in writing by the parent,
student, or guardian of a dependent minor.
2. Records will be available in the appropriate institutional office on an appointment
basis.
3. No personal identifiable information will be released to a third party without the
written consent of parent, student, or guardian of a dependent minor unless it is:
a. To other school officials who have an educational interest in the information.
b. To officials of another school where the student seeks or intends to enroll.
c. To representatives of the Comptroller General of the United States,
The Secretary of Education or State and local educational authorities.
d. When necessary, for financial aid purposes, to determine eligibility for aid, amount of aid,
conditions of aid and to enforce the terms and condition of that aid.
e. To state officials, if required by State Status.
f. To organizations conducting studies for Educational Agencies or institutions to develop,
validate, or administer tests, administer student aid programs or improve instruction.
No personal identifiable information will be released except to representatives of the
organization and the information provided to the organization will be destroyed when no
longer needed for the student.
g. To Accrediting Agency to carry out accrediting functions.
h. To parents of a dependent student.
